Today's portrait is special for three reasons : the environment, the moment and the framing. The Occupy Montréal camp is the setting and the tent backdrop as well as the busy foreground sets the subject into a dynamic environment ; her calm and respite creates a contrast against this moving environment. The respite moment of the subject seems obvious ; it is almost highlighted ; it pops out in the frame. The portrait is more a capture of the moment than of the person herself. The framing where the subject is far from the camera and centered, leaves much negative space around her to the action of the camp ; a significant quality to the photograph as it gives it much movement and life. The person on the left in the foreground close to the camera is the problem with this shot. 'Photoshoping' it out is a solution.

Le portrait d'aujourd'hui est spécial pour trois raisons : l’environnement, le moment et le cadrage. Le camp d'Occupons Montréal est la scène. L'arrière plan de tentes ainsi que l'activité en avant plan crée une scène dynamique contre laquelle le sujet en période de repos et de restauration propose un contraste important. Ce contraste est si extrême que le sujet semble être découpé dans le cadre. Ce portrait est plus une capture d'un moment qu'un portrait de la personne elle-même. Le cadrage où le sujet est loin de la caméra et centré, laisse un espace négatif important à l'activité du camp ; une qualité déterminante pour l'image, qui lui donne beaucoup de vie et de mouvement. La personne sur la gauche près de la camera en avant-plan est le problème de cette photo ; une édition en Photoshop peut arranger ça.
