Le blogue d'aujourd'hui est un extrait d'un shoot de 'Occupons Montréal' que j'ai fait l'an dernier. J'ai toujours aimé cette photo pour une raison bien précise : le regard du jeune homme qui pointe directement à la caméra. J'ai eu ce regard en tête plusieurs jours après avoir pris cette image, me demandant qu'est-ce qu'il signifiait. Le jeune homme m'a semblé surpris et même inconfortable en observant la photo. J'ai appris une semaine plus tard que l'homme en question était un jeune Policier fantôme qui participait à la construction d'un abris d'hiver pour les occupants. La tension sur le site au moment de la prise de cette photo était palpable, ce qui explique le regard de l'homme. C'est ce regard qui est la qualité principale de cette image

Today's blog is from last year's occupy Montreal deployment. I've always liked this shot for one very specific reason : the look on the young man's face as he is looking straight at the objective. For several days after the shoot I often wondered what that look was all about. It looked like he was somewhat surprised and even uncomfortable. I learned about a week later that the gentleman was an undercover cop participating in the building of a shelter for the occupiers as the winter was approaching. The tension on the site was present to say the least at that moment ; that would explain the look on the Man's face. That strange look is what makes this shot.
