The blog today presents images from the Combines N series of the estuary project. The project I am pursuing with British landscape photographers Tom Unsworth - http://convozine.com/13821-tom-unsworth - The project is nearly one year in the making and was a spin off of our respective contributions to the Convozine art network. The idea of combining urban/architectural photographs from my hometown Montreal CAN with Tom's landscape/nature photographs from the Coventry UK country side matured in the creation of 'estuary' the temporary trans-Atlantic web exhibition. Despite the complete opposite nature of our respective subjects, we found numerous common traits in our respective works, geometrical, cultural and color wise, all the while presenting a societal paradox and common traits of mankind intervention, particularly in Tom's farmland works. The project has reached an interesting level producing some graphic and decorative pieces built from combining some of our more abstract photographs on white or black canvases

Photographe de paysage/nature Britannique Tom Unsworth
- http://convozine.com/13821-tom-unsworth - Le projet qui a tout juste
un an est née de nos contributions respectives au réseau web de
partage d'art Convozine. L'idée de combiner des œuvres
photographiques de paysages urbains/architectural de Montréal à des
œuvres paysagistes/nature de la région rurale de Coventry en
Angleterre a évoluée dans la création du projet d'exposition web
temporaire trans-Atlantique 'estuary'. Malgré les natures
complètement opposées de nos sujets respectifs, nous avons trouvé
plusieurs points communs dans notre travail individuel au niveau
géométrique, culturel et graphique tout en présentant un paradoxe
sociétal et des traits commun d'intervention humaine,
particulièrement avec les images de terres agricoles de Tom. Le
projet a atteint un niveau intéressant produisant des images très
graphiques et décoratives par la combinaison de nos photographies
les plus abstraites sur des tableaux noirs ou blancs
