estuary eight - the response from across the pond to Eight S & SA

In response to our latest estuary spread - http://convozine.com/estuary/37203 - our project partner Tom Unsworth answered form across the Pond. Tom's new offering to the temporary trans-Atlantic web exhibit is remarkable in many ways. Graphic and ambiance relationship in the combinations have been set to a new standard. Canvas construction is tight and well proportioned, but mostly, the selected images refer to the deeper qualities of the featured subjects

For those of you who are estuary aware, these new pieces will reveal all the power of this project. Tom's selection of photographs for the combinations is revealing of the subject's essence. The extreme beauty of his landscapes of the Wales wilderness and the midland woods opposed to the elegant, often surreal and claustrophobic frames from our first Photographer's underground city work is more eloquent than ever in this new set.

Both artists in the project have, over time, demonstrated their ability in putting shapes, lines, colors and textures together in the most striking combination plots. This series is a benchmark in that perspective, even in depth of volumes relationship as is evident in frame 2 of the spread that can be seen here - http://convozine.com/estuary/37323 - the wheat trenches of the farming fields and the concrete shafts and alcoves of the metro exit seem to have been literally gouged out by a sculptor from a block of wax.

The estuary project has brought together two different artist Photographers and two very different environments together by bridging the Atlantic through the power of the web. Nearly 2 years in, the estuary project keeps on producing wall art with evermore exploratory sophistication. estuary's singular digital art can now be purchased through the project's fineartamerica gallery - http://estuary.fineartamerica.com/
