Fall colours in the quartier des spectacles are provided by light, trees and people

Nothing is more beautiful to us than the city in the fall, because the heavy green lush and thick leaf bushes are transformed into as many thin and colourful light prisms. The thin leaf coat of trees in the fall let the beautiful horizon sunlight create the colours we all enjoy. More over, the city reveals itself behind. Indeed, buildings hidden by thick summer trees appear behind colourful thin leaf blankets in the fall.

Some things just say Montreal

The quartier des spectacles isn't totally finished, (above and below) empty lots will likely become more public spaces and newer buildings fitting into the concept might be built there.

Art installations are used to transit between busy festival season and winter. Much like murals or graffiti, installations make for interesting urban artifacts and free exhibits.

This Other Montreal

Montreal is a live city. Despite its current difficulties, it keeps advancing and changing. Once euphoric then depressed ; once romantic then trash ; Montreal breathes in and out leaving no one indifferent.

To us it will always be Canada's most charming city. Most people won't need to be convinced about this fact. Montreal's history breaths endlessly through its architectural heritage and there is no other town like it in the country, even on the continent.

You can go to places in the city that will give you a different perspective on it, like above in the old port near Silo no.5

The new quartier du multimédia is also home to a lot of Montrealers

Taking other point of views of the city creates new images of Montreal never seen before.
When you wait for fall colours it has that much more impact.

These back alleys can yield quite the sight, giving you the impression you could be in any town in the world but yours

Some of these alleys are our favorites and we keep coming back to them so often, capturing them in a different light, with different passerby.

We never get tired of these delightful late 19th and early 20th century Victorian houses (above : in Milton Park)

Not just another church

You can see what never changes and what does in just a few minutes merely street corners in distance ; some spots are just identical each time we pass by and then there are these seemingly new towns going up.
