Le Blogue d'aujourd'hui parle d'une notion bien précise en photojournalisme, un moment précis ou l'on doit pondre une image bien construite : le scrum. Ce moment où on peut s'approcher du sujet, de la vedette, du politicien et capter ses émotions, ses expressions qui surgissent face aux questions des journalistes. Il est donc primordiale de bien exposer le visage de la personne et de déclencher beaucoup et aux bons moments (le Politicien Richard Bergeron candidat à la mairie de Montréal dans cette Photo). La réussite comportera beaucoup d'information sur la situation, sur l'actualité. Il est aussi important de cadrer judicieusement afin de montrer le contexte et si c'est le cas, d'autres personnes importantes en arrière plan (des candidats d'arrondissement comme dans le cas d'aujourd'hui). Pour l'éclairage, il faut s'ajuster rapidement car le scrum ne dure parfois que quelques secondes ou quelques minutes ; la présence de plusieurs caméra de télévision crée une lumière intense et le flash d'autres Photographes peuvent aussi intervenir. Des réglages rapides s'imposent donc. Le scrum est un instant excitant pour le Photographe car il fait appel à ses talents et à ses instincts. Deux versions ici, l'originale et avec vignettage pour diriger l’œil davantage vers les expressions faciales du sujet.

Quick settings are therefore necessary. The scrum is an exciting moment for the Photographer because it calls to your talents and instincts. Two versions here : untouched and with vignetting to further direct the eye to the subjects facial expressions.
